Bert Wiens

More than fifteen years in the financial industry have taught Bert one thing above all: people don't need more products, they need someone who'll explain what they already have, what's missing, and what it all costs, in words they actually use. For many of his clients, those words are Plautdietsch: Bert is FS²'s only Low German–speaking advisor, serving a community that's been talking money around kitchen tables in that language for generations.

Bert lives in Winnipeg with his wife Amber, who also keeps his practice running as his administrative assistant, and their two children. Between the two of them, FS² clients never fall through the cracks.

About Bert

Bert Wiens has worked in the financial industry since 2009, and the part he loves most is the moment the complicated finally clicks, when a family walks away understanding their plan instead of just nodding along.

Born in Paraguay, Bert speaks Low German (Plautdietsch) and has a real passion for serving the Plautdietsch-speaking community, giving people honest, straightforward advice in the language they are most at home in.

Bert and his wife Amber have been married for more than fifteen years and have a daughter and a son. When he is not at the office he is usually fixing something (he is a genuinely gifted handyman), out fishing with the family, or in the gym, where he and Amber both put in their time.
